'Dirty' gets clean slate with Feldman
New showrunner replaces Daniel Cerone
As part of the transition, "Dirty Sexy Money" is moving up its hiatus to early July, giving Harmon a chance to settle in and the show a chance to regroup. Three episodes were already produced for next season before the change.
Insiders said the fit wasn't quite right between Cerone and "Dirty Sexy Money," but ABC Studios is still high on the scribe and plans to turn his attention toward creating projects.
"Right now I'll be focusing my attention on development," Cerone said. "I'm looking forward to the opportunity to create new shows for the studio and network."
Cerone sealed an overall deal with the studio prior to the writers strike last fall and joined "Dirty Sexy Money" in February. Before that, he was showrunner on Showtime's critically acclaimed "Dexter."
Feldman's the third showrunner in the show's short life; before Cerone, Josh Reims handled the job.
Feldman most recently created the short-lived "Big Shots" for ABC. Hiring reunites the "Dawson's Creek" alum with exec producer Greg Berlanti, who first cut his TV teeth on that WB show.
Feldman's credits include "Reunion," "Tru Calling," "American Dreams" and "The Wonder Years." Cerone's credits include "Charmed" and "Clubhouse."
Craig Wright created "Dirty Sexy Money" and is an exec producer with Berlanti, Matthew Gross, Bryan Singer and now Harmon.
