3 Doors Down opens at No. 1
Debuts nab the top three spots on the charts

The Mississippi rock quintet’s self-titled Universal Republic release sold 154,000 copies in the week ending Sunday, according to Nielsen SoundScan data. It follows in the footsteps of its predecessor “Seventeen Days,” which debuted at No. 1 in 2005.
The 3 Doors Down Summer Tour with Staind and Hinder kicks off July 9 in Maryland Heights, Mo. Ticket prices will vary, starting at $25 at most venues.
Rapper Bun B’s “II Trill” (Rap-a-Lot/Asylum) sold 98,000 copies to debut at No. 2. His last album, “Trill,” sold 118,000 in its opening stanza, hitting No. 6.
Country singer Julianne Hough, a two-time winner on “Dancing With the Stars,” sold 67,000 copies of her eponymous debut on Mercury Nashville to waltz in at No. 3.
Jesse McCartney’s “Departure” (Hollywood) sold 30,000 to open at No. 14. Donna Summer’s first studio effort in 17 years, “Crayons” (Burgundy), moved 23,000 to hit No. 17.
Foxboro Hot Tubs, the barely disguised Green Day side project, sold 19,000 copies of “Stop Drop and Roll!!!” (Reprise) to soak in at No. 21. “Disneymania 6: Music Stars Sing Disney ... Their Way” sold 16,000 (No. 33) and the John Williams score to “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” (Concord) cut a swath with 14,000 (No. 39).
“Fight With Tools” (Republic/Universal) from the Denver rap band Flobots sold 30,000 to jump to No. 15 after selling 4,000 last week and debuting at No. 183.
Of last week’s top three debuts, the Frank Sinatra compilation “Nothing But the Best” held onto the largest audience chare. Disc slipped 45% on sales of 54,000, dropping two slots to No. 4. The No. 1 disc last week, Death Cab For Cutie’s “Narrow Stairs,” stepped down 63%, selling 53,000 to land at No. 5.
Jason Mraz’s “We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things” sold 35,000 units, a 53% dip, falling eight slots to No. 11.
And in the week of David Cook’s win on “American Idol,” his single from the finale “Time of My Life,” sold 236,000 downloads.
