WARSAW -- Oscar foreign-language nominee "Katyn" took the most noms at the Polish film awards -- the Orlys -- on Tuesday.

Andrzej Wajda's "Katyn" received 11 noms, including ones for best pic, director, music (Krzysztof Penderecki) and cinematography (Pawel Edelman) plus acting and technical categories.

The nominations continue Wajda's success story after the film's boffo domestic box office (currently at $14.1 million).

Other best Polish film nominations include Andrzej Jakimowski's "Tricks" (Sztuczki) with seven noms and Dorota Kedzierzawska's "Time to Die" (Pora umierac) with five.

Orly Awards were established 10 years ago as the official kudos granted by industry representatives for domestic film production. They are presented by the Polish Film Academy, composed of more than 500 Polish film professionals, awarding pics in 15 categories. In all, 28 films were eligible for nominations for 2007. The awards ceremony will take place March 3.
